Whereever possible we like to provide playlists to our posts. This gives everyone a clue as to what we’re talking about. After extensive evaluation by TheBrit (who was no doubt drinking wine at the time) we decided to use Imeem to host our playlists.
Imeem allows us to embed playlists and they usually hold full-length versions of songs, although sometimes only 30 second previews are available. This is down to licensing restrictions with the record labels, so you should rattle their cage rather than ours if you find too many previews rather than whole tracks.
To listen to our embedded playlists or songs you may need to sign up for a free account with Imeem, this depends on what and how we’ve embedded songs into our website. You can join Imeem for free here. Signing up also gives you a greater likelihood of hearing full tracks rather than previews. Yes, it’s stupidly confusing, sorry.
We’re hoping that other better options become available in time. For example, Spotify looks promising, but isn’t yet available in enough countries for us to use.
